William (Bill) Hess

William D. (Bill) Hess is a longtime leader in the American Zionist and Reform Jewish communities. He served as President of the American Zionist Movement from 2007 to 2012 and has been a board member of ARZA and the Union for Reform Judaism. Before retiring, he spent over 20 years in video production and post-production in New Orleans. An active community leader, he has been involved with Israel Bonds, the Jewish Federation of New Orleans, the Jewish Agency for Israel, and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, where he served as board president. Bill and his wife, Susan, live in New Orleans and have three children and six grandchildren.
