Who we are
Since its founding in 1991, the Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism has been at the forefront in creating an inclusive and egalitarian sanctuary for Israelis, who are seeking a spiritual alternative to Orthodox Judaism, in a modern secular society, that honors Jewish culture, tradition and equality.

Our Centers
We celebrate our diversity, while adhering to traditional Jewish values that link us to our rich heritage. Beit Daniel is proof that Progressive Judaism has a future in Israel, and that Tel Aviv-Jaffa is its natural center. Thousands of Israelis and visitors from abroad take part in Kabbalat Shabbat, holiday events, and traditional ceremonies. Life-cycle events such as brit milah, b’nai mitzvah, and weddings are egalitarian, inclusive and welcoming to LGBTQ.

The Daniel Centers are committed to creating relevant learning opportunities for everyone in the community, regardless of age or prior knowledge of Jewish tradition. Our programs foster a stronger connection to Jewish heritage and identity and teach the modern relevance of religious practice. We place great emphasis on providing a warm learning environment to families and individuals, youth and adults and reconnecting participants to their Jewish heritage and faith in an atmosphere that promotes equality, pluralism, and freedom of thought.
