Susan Liss

Susan Liss is a retired attorney and longtime supporter of the Friends of Beit Daniel. Over her 40-year career, she led several non-governmental organizations focused on U.S. constitutional rights and democracy. She also served in the Clinton-Gore administration in senior roles at the Justice Department and as Chief of Staff to both Vice President Al Gore and Tipper Gore. A dedicated advocate for progressive causes, she has served as a board officer of the New Israel Fund and remains involved as a member of its International Council. She is married to Rabbi Fred Reiner, Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Sinai in Washington, D.C., and together they have three adult children and eight grandchildren.
