Ilana Nesher Brown

Ilana Brown is originally from Israel and moved to the United States to pursue graduate studies in Judaic Studies and Nonprofit Management at NYU. She served as the first councilwoman for the Israeli-American Council (IAC) in Austin and currently sits on the Shalom Austin Board, where she co-chairs the Israel and Peoplehood Committee. Ilana and her husband, Benjamin, live in Austin with their three children—Rose, Lev, and Sam—and are active members of both Agudas Achim Synagogue and Beth Israel Congregation.
