Reflections on the Garden of Eden at The Beit Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism
Please join us this year for a night full of presentations, workshops and music, as we delve into the topic of the Garden of Eden. During the night, we will explore this theme, as seen in Judaism and Islam, through the lens of art, psychology, religion, music and more. During the night, we will also be conducting a simultaneous English track. Events include:
22:00 – 23:00 Tree of Knowledge: Garland, mobiles and wall-hanging making with Noa Nir Kariv
23:00 Discussion on Ruth, David and the Messiah with Rabbi Galia Sadan
24:00 Who ate the apple? A guided reading of the story of the Garden of Eden with Rabbi Meir Azari
1:00 Is there a heaven within Israeli cinema? A discussion lead by Galit Roichman
2:00 A musical performance for all ages lead by Korin Allal
3:30 Ending the expulsion from the Garden of Eden: an hour of meditation and reflection with Dani Roth
4:30 Morning refreshments
5:00 Morning services on the banks of the Yarkon River lead by Rabbi Galia Sadan and musician Shimon Smith
Entrance is free, however, we require registration beforehand. Please submit the names of the attending participants and your email address. A suggested donation of 50 NIS is encouraged. We appreciate your help in financing this event.
