High Holidays at Mishkenot Ruth

Whether you are a permanent resident of Israel or a visitor, our doors are always open. Kehilat Daniel at Mishkenot Ruth Daniel is our center in Yaffo under the leadership of Rabbi Mira Raz. Families and singles of all ages are invited to join us for our High Holiday services and activities.

There is no fee to attend services although donations are always welcome.

Services and activities at Kehilat Daniel in Yaffo at Mishkenot Ruth Daniel:

Rosh Hashana Services and Activities

First night – September 9th at 6:00 pm

First day morning services – September 10th at 9:30 am

Second night – September 10th at 6:00 pm

Second day morning service – September 11th at 9:30 am

** There is no service in Jaffa on the second day. We will be joining the services at Beit Daniel. **

Kabbalat Shabbat and community Tashlich service on the beach – September 14th at 6:30 pm

* We will meet at Mishkenot Ruth Daniel and walk to the beach together. If you would like to meet us there, walk down the stairs to the beach by the clock tower in Jaffa.

Yom Kippur Services and Activities

Erev (Kol Nidre) – September 18th at 6:30 pm – services will be followed by a community learning session led by Rabbi Mira Raz

Morning service – September 19th at 9:30 am

Afternoon, Yizkor and Ne’ilah service – September 19th at 4:45 pm

Sukkot Services and Activities

Erev Sukkot services followed by a meal in the sukkah and community discussion – September 23rd at 6:00 pm

First day morning service – September 24th at 9:30 am

Erev Shabbat chol hamoed Sukkot (Shabbat during the sukkot holiday) – September 28th at 6:30 pm

Erev Simchat Torah with accompanying musicians – September 30th at 6:30 pm

Simchat Torah morning services with Yizkor services – October 1st at 9:00 am

Hakafot Shniyot (round two of Torah dancing) – October 1st at 7:30 pm
