Fresh Paint at Beit Daniel
Some walls are worth building!
Beit Daniel’s community will be creating a 12 Sq. m. mural on the outer wall of our building under the leadership of renowned Israeli muralist Judy Tal Kopelman. Our community wall will be included in the 92nd Street Y‘s annual New Year (Rosh Hashana) prayer project video.
“Choose life: ובחרת בחיים” is the theme of this year’s project.
Beit Daniel is proud to be one of three non-US Jewish institutions to participate in this unique initiative.
The New Year prayer is an initiative of the New York-based Bronfman Center for Jewish Life, and brings together communities from around the world to share a global musical moment of reflection, hope, inspiration and unity. This year’s prayer video to be released in September, will add the beauty of visual art – in the form of murals and other community-based art projects – to the powerful non-denominational message of hope, unity and shared humanity.
On Friday, July 13th starting at 4:30 pm, we will gather to paint our wall “ובחרת בחיים”.
