Celebrating Tu B’shevat with Fruit, Nuts and Wine
Tu B’shevat, the holiday of the trees, is right around the corner. Ever wondered why we eat dried fruits and nuts on this holiday?
You are invited to join the English-speaking community at Beit Daniel on Monday, January 25 at 20:00 for an evening of sampling an assortment of dried and fresh fruits, nuts, olives, wine, etc. to celebrate this arboreal holiday.
Rabbi Philip Nadel will lead us in discussion of why we each such tasty treats on this day and what the foods symbolize.
As this holiday falls on the same evening as our Torah Talks class, we will integrate a bit of Torah study into the class as well. Come prepared to share a glass of wine with other community members, get to know your English-speaking community and learn something new!
The event is FREE, however, registration is required ahead of time. Please contact Elana at elana@beit-daniel.org.il with the number of guests intending and what small snack you wish o contribute to our evening.
