Breaking the Wall of Silence

20:00: Remembrance prayer with Rabbi Galia Sadan and Cantor Freddy Faur and musicians: May Yisraeli (vocals) and Uri Leshamen (piano)

20:45: Speaking about the silence in the events hall; an open conversation with Yuval Yareach, author of the book “The Silences” (2016), which vividly describes describes the twists and turns of his grandmother’s survival during the Holocaust. Mania’s silence led him to investigate her past, creating a fascinating historical-family novel.

In the synagogue, we will discuss genetic inheritance – is it possible to leave our inherited victimization?  This discussion will focus on the second and third generations, the experiences they absorbed, the possibility of change and escaping victimization. We will focus on Dr. Victor Frankel’s theory of logotherapy and psychological and scientific research in the field of human consciousness. This discussion will be moderated by Tzila Sturm: emotional and couples therapist  and mediator.

The evening is free and open to the public. Please note that the event will take place in Hebrew. Please send the name(s) of attendees to office@beit-daniel.org.il.
