During this magical workshop series, you will have the opportunity to learn melodies and hymns to some of Israel’s greatest traditions throughout the years and liturgies from a variety of Jewish life cycle events and holidays. As a group, we will sing along with one of Israel’s greatest liturgists, Maureen Nehedar. This workshop will place a special focus on melodies for slichot and the New Year. This is a rare opportunity to learn poetic liturgies from one of Israel’s leading liturgists.

About the facilitator:

Maureen Nehedar – singer, creator, liturgist, and Israeli composer. Nehedar revived Jewish Persian traditional poetry. A few months ago, she released her latest critically acclaimed album, titled, “Asleep in the Bosom of Childhood.” Reaching the top of the charts, this album was wildly successful in Israel.
