Celebrating your life cycle event in the heart of Israel<\/h2>\n

The Daniel Centers welcome you to join our community to celebrate your most important events.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of our rabbis at Beit Daniel, Kehilat Halev and Kehilat Daniel in Jaffa are English speakers and have meaningful experience in officiating lifecycle events for all types of families. From b’rit bilah ot b’rit bat, bar and bat Mitzvah, and joyous celebrations of marriage and commitment, we will help you to make your simcha personal and special.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What makes The Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism unique is our mission to provide an inclusive experience for all Jews, from all walks of life, and for all those seeking a welcoming home in our community. We are honored to celebrate these occasions with families from around the world, who want to experience their simcha in the Holy Land, and are looking for a progressive, traditional, and egalitarian approach to their life cycle events, in the heart of Israel – Tel Aviv-Jaffa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bar and Bat Mitzvah<\/b><\/p>\n

Central to the values Judaism is the family gathering and celebrating together. \u201cFrom generation to generation\u201d the Torah is passed from the grandmothers and grandfathers, to the mothers and fathers, to the bar or bat mitzvah. Celebrations can be held in any one of our communities on Shabbat morning afternoon, or on Mondays and Thursdays. As part of the preparatory session, parents and children attend meetings, study and experience, and a moving ceremony of laying tefillin. We commonly support dozens of families living abroad through virtual connections and tutoring.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

We<\/b>ddings and Commitment Ceremonies\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

A Reform wedding or commitment ceremony is inclusive and welcoming of all Jews, including same sex couples. The ceremony is in contemporary Israeli spirit. Our values maintain the traditional rituals while inviting creativity, openness and equality. The couple at a Reform wedding receive personal attention, consultation, and support in planning the ceremony and writing of the ketubah. There is more than one way to get married and our senior Rabbi Meir Azari has officiated over 2000 weddings in Tel Aviv-Jaffa and throughout Israel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

B\u2019rit Milah and Simchat Bat\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Beit Daniel works with a number of physicians who are trained to perform circumcision at your sons\u2019s b\u2019rit milah ceremony in the synagogue or your home. Simchat Bat, the baby naming ceremony for a daughter is becoming more common in Israel. We encourage parents to speak with our staff to help you create a ceremony that is meaningful for your family.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
