Los Angeles – Tel Aviv Partnership

The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles runs an extensive partnership between the cities of Los Angeles and Tel Aviv promoting an active connection between residents and institutions.

Two elementary schools in Tel Aviv are partnered up with Reform Elementary Schools in Los Angeles – Ztahala School with the elementary school of Temple Israel of Hollywood and Ussishkin Elementary School with Wilshire Boulevard Brawerman Elementary School. To facilitate and create a richer and more durable partnership between schools, the education department of the Daniel Centers is deeply involved in both schools´ teaching: Judaic studies; introduction to streams of Judaism; Jewish communities worldwide and Jewish peoplehood.  

The LA-TA partnership has had a positive impact on the education programs promoting religious pluralism within the secular public education system in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

We thank that Federation for its innovative programming and support and hope to see the partnership continue to flourish in the years to come.
