Reform Elementary Schools – Ussishkin and Ztahala
The education department at the Daniel Centers has been teaching core curriculum in two leading elementary schools in Tel Aviv. Our education department teaches extensive Judaic curriculum in these schools (over 200 instruction hours a year for each class, 18 classes with a total of 900 students) and a Jewish educator from the Daniel Centers is on each of the schools´ staff. Judaic classes in the school focus on Jewish identity, Jewish peoplehood, Jewish community worldwide and different streams of Judaism among other.
The involvement of the Daniel Centers in these schools is part of the school twinning program through the Los Angeles – Tel Aviv partnership. Both schools are twined with Reform schools in LA. The schools are secular public schools within Tel Aviv and the Daniel Centers´ involvement within the schools works to create a community that sees The Daniel Centers as their congregation and community.
