In May 2007, Mishkenot Ruth Daniel (MRD), a culture and education center and guest house that serves as a place of gathering, learning, and social action for the local neighborhood, visitors the world over, and the Reform movement, opened in the heart of Jaffa.

MRD’s spirit, structure, and location reflect Israel’s extraordinary diversity and complexity, linking: Arabs and Jews, immigrants and native born citizens, the affluent and the less advantaged, ancient and new, East and West. MRD aims to promote the inclusive, egalitarian and pluralistic spirit of Tikkun Olam.

Since opening, MRD has hosted thousands of visitors and provided opportunities for learning and exploration through a wide range of educational programs, including tours of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, workshops, and more. These programs are intended for groups from Israel and abroad.
