Beit Daniel - The Center for Progressive Judaism in Tel Aviv-Yafo
Situated in Tel Aviv, the cultural heart of Israel, we aim to be a model of a community based on equality and pluralism.
Serving both as a community center and a synagogue, Beit Daniel, the Center for Progressive Judaism in Tel Aviv-Jaffa stands on three pillars: learning, prayer and social justice.
Since its founding in 1991, Beit Daniel has brought Reform Judaism from the margins to the center of Tel Aviv´s religious and educational life, and has become one of the leading cultural institutions in the city.
Today, thousands take part annually in the rich spectrum of activities, such as bar and bat mitzvah ceremonies, conversion, senior citizen programs, weddings, youth forum, adult and student forum, Beit Midrash for all ages, preschools and more.
By celebrating our diversity while adhering to traditional Jewish values that link us to our rich heritage, Beit Daniel is proof that Progressive Judaism has a future in Israel, and that Tel Aviv-Jaffa is its natural center.
