Beit Daniel is committed to creating relevant learning opportunities for everyone in the community regardless of age or prior knowledge of Jewish tradition. Our broad-ranging programs foster a stronger connection to Jewish heritage and identity and teach modern relevance to religious practice
We place great emphasis on providing a warm learning environment to families and individuals, youth and adults. Our programs reconnect individuals to their Jewish heritage and faith in an atmosphere that promotes equality, pluralism, and freedom of thought. We further seek to provide compelling learning experiences that will guide participants towards lifelong involvement in the Jewish community
Adult Education
Beit Midrash - By blending traditional religious texts with modern perspectives, the program strives to discover intersections between our Jewish heritage and our modern, progressive lifestyle as Israelis. In our innovative Beit Midrash, studies cover a wide range of Jewish texts, from ancient Biblical, Talmudic, and Mishnaic writings to modern literature by Israeli novelists, poets, and philosophers. Through these rich and varied texts we create an authentic new voice both deeply Jewish and genuinely Israeli.
Senior Citizen Activities – Various programs are offered weekly that include lectures and outings to various cultural or nature sites. Our most popular program, A Taste of the Past, is operated in cooperation with the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality.
Young Adults - To meet the needs of our increasingly active young adult population, Beit Daniel organizes lecture programs for those interested in exploring their connection to the Jewish faith. These sessions bring young adults together to forge their path within their Jewish identity and Israeli culture.
Family - New Heights - This family based learning and prayer program brings together parents and children to find Judaism in their daily lives. This is done through fun and challenging experiences and quality learning opportunities for parents and children that provide tools for parents and children to take their Jewish learning home. The New Heights program is made possible through the Support of the Legacy Heritage Innovation Project Fund.
