Friends of the Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism

Friends of the Daniel Centers for Progressive Judaism is a nonprofit organization established to raise awareness of the work of Beit Daniel and Mishkenot Ruth Daniel, build individual, foundation, synagogue, and institutional partnerships, and raise funds for the Daniel Centers efforts.  

Many of those who first become involved with the Daniel Centers spent a Friday evening or Shabbat morning at Beit Daniel along with their American synagogue or Federation mission. Others have taken part in Mishkenot Ruth Daniel-led walking and learning tours of Tel Aviv-Jaffa or have heard Rabbi Meir Azari or other Daniel Center staff and supporters discuss the vision and challenges of creating pluralistic, modern Jewish experiences for both Israelis and visitors.  

We welcome you to become part of a community of people who care deeply about strengthening a Judaism in Israel that is democratic, egalitarian, and pluralistic and who wish to build meaningful and lasting relationships between Israelis and the Diaspora. There are many ways to stay involved with the Daniel Centers:

• Celebrate Lifecycle Events in Tel Aviv - Many families choose to celebrate a b’nai mitzvah, weddings, and other major lifecycle events at Beit Daniel. Our clergy and staff are happy to work with you to create a meaningful, spiritually rich experience. Please contact office@beit-daniel.org.il for more information.
• Tour and Stay – Mishkenot Ruth Daniel offers modern accommodations and excellent walking tours of Tel Aviv-Jaffa in English. Please contact mishkenot@beit-daniel.org.il  to learn more and reserve a room/tour.
• Become A Host – Several times a year, Rabbi Azari and other Daniel Center staff come to the States and would be happy to speak about our work in advancing Reform Judaism in Israel at a private home,  Shabbat services, or other venue. Please send an email to Edit Reizes (edit@beit-daniel.org.il) if you are interested in coordinating such an event.
• Support Us – The Daniel Centers has become a leader in Reform Judaic education, religious services, community programming and Diaspora experiences. We are proud that 80% of Daniel Centers’ programs are self-supporting. Your support enables us to cover any funding gaps, and, more importantly, to “test” new cutting-edge programming.  With a donation of $360 or more you can become an Overseas Members of Beit Daniel, and when in Israel you will receive complimentary High Holiday tickets, a 10% discount on rooms at Mishkenot Ruth Daniel, and a private Mishkenot Ruth tour of your choice. Click here to make a secure, on-line donation now.
