The education department is one of our foundational pillars. Its central mission is to advance, promote, and develop Judaic learning within the Israeli secular public school system. All our programs emphasize creating a productive balance between Jewish tradition and the dynamics of the modern world - creating a tangible connection between history and the future.
The Daniel Center’s extensive educational programs include:
* operating 14 Reform-affiliated public preschools; * incorporating Jewish learning into secular public schools; * offering family-based programming to continue the Jewish learning process outside the classroom; and * creating unique curriculum for universal holiday celebrations in mixed (Arab and Jewish) preschools in Jaffa.
Our education framework allows students to discover their Jewish identity within their own individualism. The contact points are achieved through experiences, workshops, and creative approaches to learning, so that knowledge is imparted with meaning. Our goal is to reveal the diversity and richness of Jewish existence and bridge the gap between Israeli secular society and our rich Jewish history and heritage.
